If you live in an apartment building (or have wood floors in your home) you're familiar with the vibrations from music coming through the walls.I put my home-theater woofer (woofer = low notes, the kind that travels through walls) on a small cutting board, and put that board on a pair of gel "shock absorbing" insoles. works beautifully. the gel material is designed to absorb vibrations, and as long as it keeps the woofer completely off of the floor (thus the small cutting board) it keeps my neighbors happy.
