I was positive I was going to love these and had been eyeing several different APL versions for a while now however I’m returning them. First, they are cute and look just like the photo, so no false advertising. They are well made also. My cons are that they squeeze the top of your foot uncomfortably and I don’t see this shoe stretching out so they aren’t comfortable. Secondly, they actually have lace ties but they sit inside the shoes, I couldn’t tell from pictures so I was surprised. Also, I’m always in between a 7.5 and 8, but often go 7.5 in tennis shoes. They are narrow and a bit long, so they never would have worked because they are right around the foot, but then too long. If you have a narrow foot they might be just fine.Last fall I tried on three pairs of barefoot shoes and had to pay to return them all. They didn't fit. My DIL was wearing these so I went shopping for them and found one color on sale. They fit perfectly! I have a bunion on one side and shoes can feel too short on the other. These fit, they are super comfortable for walking, and have the benefit of the barefoot feel, i.e. super flexible for your foot to move. I will definitely buy again.I have loved wearing these tennis shoes from the moment they were delivered! The comfort level is a ten out of ten while still being cute and stylish! This is my first time buying APL tennis shoes and I will definitely be buying this brand again :).If you have a high instep, skip these. Also, they are very short and show more ankle than the look I like. I prefer a little more of a platform.So comfortable! Great to run in. Normally wear a 7.5 and I bought my normal size.I love the color and I get compliments on them all the time. I don’t think they are worth the price though. I probably will not buy another APL pair.I was extremely disappointed. For how much money these shoes cost the quality is not there. No stability. Fabric is cheap and good luck getting your foot inside. I ordered a 1/2 size up and it was almost impossible to slip on my foot and I have narrow feet.
