The shoes are pretty much as promised, fit well. But they are very stiff. I thought they would become more comfortable after I wore them for awhile, but there was no change. This probably means they are well made and will last for quite awhile, but just will not be as comfortable to wear as they look. Also, the big dip in the middle of the sole probably gives added support, but is really disconcerting when going upstairs if the dip catches the edge of the stair. The shoe would likely work better if this were filled in to give a consistent sole. Overall, a pretty good shoe, but not what I wanted.I got a pair of these for my father-in-law 2 years ago after watching him limp around. He has painful gout that comes and goes, besides having very wide feet. He was used to getting $20 sneakers from Walmart. He didn't know he had options. Since he got these shoes he wears them nearly every day and loves them! He says it's like walking on a cloud. I keep a check on this pair to see if they need replacing but they still seem new. I was really impressed with these shoes because with three sets of removable insoles you can really get a great fit. The older one gets the more important quality shoes become.Update - Oct. 2021. My father-in-law still loves these shoes! I did find out that he had my sister-in-law find out what they were so he could replace them with the exact same thing. (He couldn't ask us because it was a gift and it was too awkward for him.) I think he wears them all the time.Excellent shoe. Bought the 12 4E (4W). Took out the thicker of two insoles and installed my orthotic. Shoe is wide and stable with a pleasant rocker to it. Not limping around anymore. Mesh on the side of toe box accommodates my bunion perfectly. No more bunion discomfort from shoe pressure. I bought toe socks as well to help spread out the toes and the shoe has plenty of toe wiggle room.Just a very good shoe for a wide large foot.Definitely recommend the toe socks if your big toe is pushing against the second toe. Doesn't fix the problem but dramatically lessens the discomfort caused by normal socks and too tight shoes squeezing all the toes together. I like the injinji trail midweight as a work sock combined with a wide Drew shoe.Bought these for my husband over 8 mths. ago. They fit tighter than he expected when we first got them. I didn't want the hassle of returning so I asked him if they were close & he thought they'd stretch a bit, to keep them & I'd try another brand next time. He doesn't wear these all the time so I'm guessing they aren't as comfy as other shoes he has & he hasn't said one good word about them. For the money, I think these were a let down for us. We have bought higher end shoes so I know what to expect.I have narrow feet and have always had trouble shoes that truly fit. This is the second pair of these shoes I have purchased, wore the first pair out so bad was embarrassed to wear them. Bought Dr Scholl's arch support insert, removed the provided inserts and all is good. I almost didn't put the Dr. Scholl's in as the show was very comfortable.Everything has been good so far, the shoe has a true fit for 10.5 size. Quite a bit of support that works well for this old guy.Even though the Drew site says this shoe is built on the same last as the Voyager style, it's not quite as supportive as the Voyager. Still good, it just seems to provide a little bit less control and cushion. It has the mesh, though, which makes it comfortable to wear in summer and at the gym.I have struggled with my feet going from medium to 6E wide and I love to walk. These shoes give nice arch support plus orthotics can be used them. I can now walk over 5 miles without discomfort and good cushioning. They are rather expensive, but getting to move again was well worth the money. It is too early to tell, but these shoes should last the recommended 400 - 500 miles. I have just ordered another pair.Very good. Difficult to find a shoe both wide enough (6E) and deep in the toe box. This is the one. Needed orthopedic shoe.Could set laces so can slip them on and off OK.
